Stellar Materials Announces the Promotions of Jens Decker and Brian Mintz

(September 9, 2008) -- Stellar Materials Incorporated is pleased to announce the promotion of two dedicated employees, who contribute greatly to the growing success of Stellar Materials., enhancing and expanding the Thermbond product line, and promoting the Thermbond name and message to current and prospective customers around the world. Congratulations to Technical Director, Jens Decker on his promotion to Vice President, Engineering and to Marketing Director, Brian Mintz for his promotion to Vice President, Communications.

Jens Decker has twenty five years of experience in the refractory industry specializing in refractory installation and research and development. He began working with Thermbond products in 2000, when he was the Installation Manager for John Zink Company. He came to work for Stellar Materials in 2004. President, David Mintz took notice of his extensive knowledge of the technology immediately. He offered Jens the Technical Director position and asked him to move from his home in Germany to the United States for one year, where he could continue his work at Stellar's manufacturing facility and laboratory in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Decker agreed and subsequently decided to prolong his stay in the Unites States indefinitely to be better able to achieve his and the company's objectives. His hard work and dedication have been recognized with his recent promotion from Technical Director to Vice President of Engineering.

"I am very excited about my new position here and I look forward to my future with Stellar with great pride and enthusiasm," says Jens Decker. David Mintz, President of Stellar Materials, explains, "Jens Decker has been working with the Thermbond technology for more than eight years. His vast knowledge of ceramics in general, and phosphate technology in particular, coupled with his unique approach to problem solving makes Jens an invaluable part of the Stellar team. It is my pleasure and a consummately appropriate action to bring Jens up to the Vice President level in our organization. His efforts continue to widen our gap as a market leader in refractory technology."

Brian Mintz has an extensive knowledge of both marketing and computer technology. Prior to his employment with Stellar Materials he was the President of Exit Now, Inc., a leading website developer located in Tampa Bay, Florida. Mintz began his career with Stellar in 2003, after selling his web design company. He came on board with Stellar in anticipation of the pending acquisition of the Thermbond Sales and Installation Team from John Zink Company. He deployed updated technology
company-wide. His skills in both marketing and communication quickly became apparent and he is a great asset to the Stellar Team.

Brian Mintz comments, "I am proud to have earned this promotion after nearly five years running both the Marketing and IT Department for Stellar Materials. The best part is that I now have a capable Marketing Coordinator that reports to me and we are looking to hire an IT Manager. Having a great staff enables me to accomplish so much more."

"I'm pleased to see both of these men in positions of greater responsibility within our organization," says David Mintz. "These modifications to our internal structure better position Stellar Materials to continue to capture significant market share in our core industries over the next few years."
