The Virginia Beach-based steel building manufacturer and distributor recently launched a feature to its website which displays an interactive map for people to locate photos and descriptions of SteelMaster buildings anywhere across the globe, which in many cases includes their own hometown. With more than 40,000 steel buildings on the ground, the maps are a continuous process and will be updated until all of the company's metal building photos have been added.
"We are excited to introduce this feature to our website for both our current and future customers," says Michelle Wickum, the director of marketing for SteelMaster. "It is our way of extending a virtual showroom to the masses."
The interactive feature is a component of Google Maps which allows users the option to search by country or state and view by city to see the creative ways customers have utilized the versatile steel buildings that are used for a broad range of residential and commercial applications including: garages, workshops, carports, agricultural storage, metal barns, Quonsets, airplane hangars, RV storage, roofing systems, military and government buildings, commercial warehousing, and industrial storage.
"The possibilities for what a SteelMaster building can be used for are endless," says Wickum. "The buildings on these maps show just how inventive people have been, and will hopefully inspire others to utilize our economical and resilient buildings in unique ways."
