R&M Materials Handling introduces innovations to handle staging and theatrical equipment
SPRINGFIELD, OH (April 10, 2009) - R&M Materials Handling, Inc., introduces innovations for the Stagemaker® concert hoist. The Stagemaker, from R&M Materials Handling, is a quiet and safe solution with an updated design for improved handling of staging and theatrical equipment. The Stagemaker enables the safe and accurate positioning of speakers, lighting systems, stage sets, and sceneries. The compact size permits the Stagemaker to fit inside truss structures; the quiet operation is ideal for use during performances.
Available in normal position and inverted position, the Stagemaker is equipped with lifting capacities up to 5 tons. The Stagemaker is enhanced with innovative features that offer increased safety and reliability with quiet, fluid movement. Various configurations are available to meet the needs of a specific application.
The Stagemaker Chainflux chain guide allows a more fluid flow of the hoist chain. Available for Stagemaker hoists in inverted position, the innovative feature, Chainflux, enables a more fluid horizontal flow of the chain as it comes off the load wheel and into the chain bag. The high-strength polyamide chain guide provides a low-friction passage of the chain on ejection. The innovative Chainflux system offers many technical advantages, including: prevention of chain jamming, optimization of chain introduction into the chain bucket, and reduced chain wear due to less contact area between hoist body and chain.
Another innovative feature available for the Stagemaker concert hoist is a double brake system. For added safety in the normal position, the double brake prevents all slipping or dropping of the load when stopped. The first brake is positioned after the load limiter and the second on the driving gear of the chain.
The Stagemaker concert hoist is available in various configurations and models. A sample of other performance-enhancing options available include: programmable control, BGV-C1 enhanced safety features, gear limit switch, variable speeds and hour counter.
