Sprint Introduces a True 4G Network to the Golden State's Capital
Expanding to 62 Markets Nationwide
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. , November 15, 2010 - Sprint (NYSE:S) today announced that its lightning-fast 4G wireless service is available now in the California state capital of Sacramento. In a true showing of bi-partisan unity, Sprint enables members of the community and their government representatives of all parties with mobile downloads, video chat capabilities and turbo-charged Web browsing up to 10 times faster than 3G service1 - all on the first wireless 4G network from a national carrier.
With the addition of Sacramento, Sprint 4G can now be found in 62 markets across the country, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and New York City. Sprint 4G plans to light up several other major markets by the end of the year, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Denver and Washington, D.C. The company has already delivered 4G in California to Merced, Modesto, Stockton and Visalia.
