Spider, A Div. of SafeWorks, LLC
365 Upland Dr.
Seattle, WA, 98188

Press release date: April 2, 2014

Seattle – Spider, a division of SafeWorks, LLC, recently concluded a year-long rental project for the construction of the fourteen-story Cadence Union Station residential building in downtown Denver.

The customer, GE Johnson Construction Company, put several different trades, including framers, window installers, caulkers, glass workers, masons, and waterproofers, to work using Spider's suspended access equipment.

Drawing on the largest equipment fleet in North America, Spider provided fourteen swingstages with lengths varying between ten and fifty feet and equipped with SC1000 traction hoists, gantry systems, and single line kits. Four hundred linear feet of SpiderRail™ temporary, non-penetrating guardrail was used to protect workers from potential fall hazards during the elevator installations and remained on- site for other fall protection needs. Spider's Competent Person Training was provided to several GE Johnson team members and subcontractors to ensure proper equipment operation and safety compliance on the jobsite.

"Spider's ability to provide such a large amount of equipment for such a long time set us apart from the competition," said John Sotiroff, Vice President Spider Sales and Distribution. "Half a dozen trades felt safe and productive using our equipment. And in the full year Spider's equipment was on-site, there were no incidents. That's a true sign of reliability."
