Spencer Forms Partnership to Create an Authorized Service Center in China

The Spencer Turbine Company strengthened its international presence through a partnership with Baldor Electric (Shanghai) Co, Ltd., enabling its customers in China to get Spencer-quality service without reaching outside the country, the company has announced.
"As China continues to modernize its cities, and Asia-Pacific market demands increase, it truly enhances our ability to service our customers when we have a physical presence within the country," said Paul Burdick, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for The Spencer Turbine Co.
The Baldor Electric (Shanghai) facility will provide service to Spencer customers in China's Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang provinces. As Spencer's customers' needs arise, the facility may also provide service to other areas of China and the Asia-Pacific region. According to the agreement, Baldor Electric (Shanghai) is authorized to provide repair and service for Spencer single- and multistage centrifugal fabricated blowers. The Shanghai-based facility will also service Power Mizer® multistage cast centrifugal blowers, Industravac® self-contained vacuum systems, separators and dust collectors, Vortex® regenerative blowers, and electrical controls and control systems. UL Listed hermetic gas boosters will continue to be serviced by the Spencer factory in Windsor, Connecticut.
All repair, maintenance and associated service for these products, including start-up, warranty and non-warranty repair work can now be completed by the China-based facility.
Baldor Electric (Shanghai) handles many types of electrical service needs, from high voltage lines to electric motors up to 5,000 horsepower (HP). Its specialties include testing, repair, maintenance and analysis of power distribution systems and electrical rotating equipment, and also mechanical transmission and bearing products made by Dodge®. Baldor Electric (Shanghai) is the only member of EASA (Electrical Apparatus Services Association) in mainland China.
"Baldor Electric (Shanghai) employees have been trained on-site in our Windsor, Connecticut, factory, and they will use only Spencer-manufactured or Spencer-approved replacement parts to ensure customers receive parts that meet our strict quality standards," said Dave Earley, Senior Vice President for The Spencer Turbine Company.
