Westbury NY Electro Industries/GaugeTech announces that its award-winning Shark® 100-S electronic sub-meter is now UL listed. The Shark® 100-S sub-meter is a highly accurate, revenue certifiable energy and demand sub-meter. It offers multifunction measurement, including power quality and alarms. The Shark® 100-S sub-meter features advanced communication, including IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet capability, as well as RJ-45 10BaseT Ethernet, and standard serial based RS485 communication. Both Ethernet and Serial Communication utilize standard Modbus format.
Optional software allows users to trend energy usage to provide utility bills both energy and demand, and to set up rate structures and combine multiple meter readings for billing purposes. In addition, this meter provides a direct interface with most Building Management systems, and is currently being used by customers for the following applications: o Universities o Commercial buildings o Shopping malls o Government facilities o Industrial sub-metering.
