Engineering Systems Inc. (ESI) is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Dale B. Edwards, materials engineer and Senior Consultant, to the company's Aurora, Illinois office staff. Prior to joining ESI, Mr. Edwards had more than 25 years experience with Bodycote Broutman, Inc. as a Senior Consultant and Vice President.
"We're extremely pleased Dale decided to join ESI" states Nelson Koopman, President and Chief Operating Officer. "He will be a great addition to our Materials engineering strength at ESI, one of our founding disciplines."
Mr. Edwards is a licensed Professional Engineer and has prior experience in testing and analysis of plastic and composite materials, consulting and laboratory management. His expertise includes failure analysis and testing of plastics, creep and stress rupture testing for design, mechanical testing, and environmental effects.
The types of industries Mr. Edwards is typically involved in include resin companies, pipe manufacturers, gas and water utilities, contractors, medical device manufacturers, aerospace companies, and automotive suppliers. Through the years, his clients have ranged from small independent businesses to major corporations.
Mr. Edwards has several publications and currently teaches an annual Plastic Failure Analysis Workshop, a course co-sponsored by The Society for Plastics Engineers (SPE). He has also been asked to present several times at The Medical Design and Manufacturing Conference, specifically on medical devices, and can be contacted to provide a seminar for your staff or company.
