Sapa Extrusions North America Creates Thermal Management Centers of Excellence

Rosemont, IL In an effort to capitalize on its broad North American coverage of the thermal management market, Sapa Extrusions North America has created two Thermal Management Centers of Excellence at its Mountain Top, PA and City of Industry, CA locations. The Center of Excellence designation, a new indicator within Sapa's Thermal Management business unit, will provide customers and prospects dedicated thermal management expertise on either coast of the United States.
It's important that our customers and potential customers have production options that geographically fit their needs, said Stephen Jackson, business development manager for Thermal Management at Sapa Extrusions North America. These two Sapa locations are optimal for the production of heat sinks and other thermal products.
Thermal management projects developed for Sapa customers can now be produced at either Center of Excellence. The strategic location of these two production facilities on both coasts will allow Sapa to reduce shipping time and cost for thermal management customers, as well as providing centralized expertise for more complex thermal management products.
The Thermal Management Centers of Excellence production locations are supported by the engineering skill of Sapa's North American Technical Center, a research, design, and development center within the company. The North American Technical Center includes engineering, metallurgical, machining and product design expertise designed to provide innovative aluminum solutions and products for Sapa customers.
Sapa Extrusions North America produces a wide range of thermal management products including extruded heat sinks with ratios up to 19:1 and cold plates for the LED and Power conversion industries.
