Philadelphia, PA - March 31, 2011 - Sandmeyer Steel Company has announced the appointment of two new vice presidents in its sales organization.

John M. Curley, III, has been promoted to the newly-created position of Vice President - International Sales and Global Marketing. He will be responsible for the development of business outside of the United States, a fast-growing market for Sandmeyer. Curley joined the Company in 1985 as an Inside Sales Representative and was quickly promoted to District Sales Manager for the New England territory. In 1993 he joined the Company's management team as Manager - Inside Sales and later General Manager - Sales and Marketing.

A native of Boston, John currently resides in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. He has a long family heritage in the stainless steel plate industry. His grandfather, John M. Curley, Sr., founded the former Eastern Stainless Steel in Baltimore in 1943; and his father, John M. Curley, Jr., served as Eastern's president for many years. Shawn F. Fenerty of Newtown, Pennsylvania, has been promoted to the new position of Vice President - National Sales. He will be responsible for both the inside and field sales teams in the United States. Fenerty, a local native of Northeast Philadelphia, started at Sandmeyer Steel Company at the age of 18 as the Office Messenger and worked his way up through several positions within the sales department, including Inside Sales Representative and seven years in California as District Sales Manager of the Company's West territory. Most recently he was Regional Sales Manager with responsibility for the Midatlantic East, Southwest, and West territories. He may be reached at SFenerty@SandmeyerSteel.com.
