Press release date: March 22, 2010

FOSE, Washington DC - SCSI Trade Association (STA) will be located in booth # 2537 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Featured in the booth will be a Serial Storage Wire (SSW) Newsletter sign-up opportunity for anyone who would like to subscribe to STA's free, world-wide Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) e-newsletter.

Martin (Marty) Czekalski, Vice President of the SCSI Trade Association and Interface Architecture Initiatives Manager, Seagate Technology, will speak on Wednesday, Mar. 24th, at 12:40pm in the Data Center Pavilion Theater on the show floor. His topic will be "SAS and SATA Change the Face of Enterprise Storage." He will discuss OEMs, system builders, and end-users which are deploying the feature-rich capabilities of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) to extend Direct Access Storage (DAS) architectures beyond the traditional usage models. Functioning as a storage solution backbone, SAS allows large numbers of either SAS and/or SATA hard-disk drives to be deployed in a variety of storage application environments, effectively extending SAS into new storage realms.

Czekalski will also be available to brief media representatives on 6Gb/s SAS. Editors or reporters who would like to speak with Marty at the show, please call the STA press contact at the bottom of this page to reserve a time to speak with him.

Booth attendees include Marty Czekalski, Seagate; Greg McSorley, Amphenol; and Crystal Black of JDSU.
