Columbia, MD - Rohde & Schwarz and W2bi, Inc. agreed today on a partnership that will provide automated device testing solutions for 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. Rohde & Schwarz test platform in integration with w2bi's automated test software for operator specific test plans will address the certification needs of mobile operators, device OEMs and independent labs globally.
Today's announcement brings expanded choices of device certification solutions to mobile operators, OEMs and independent labs. The scope of the test automated solutions covers operator specific test needs and centers on R&S CMW500 as a platform for LTE, CDMA and InterRAT network emulation utilizing w2bi Q-GENERICŪ software as the platform for automated device testing. This integrated test automation solution brings together many test components including device control, R&S CMW500, IMS and Application Servers, as well as other instruments.
The successful adoption of LTE requires that the devices adhere to strict quality standards and both the companies are committed to enabling mobile operators and OEMs to deliver fully compliant quality tested 4G mobile devices to the marketplace on time.
