Robotics Online Reaches One Million Visitors; New Career Center Works for Industry

ANN ARBOR, Mich., November 18, 2005 - Robotic Industries Association today announced that as of October, Robotics Online recorded more than one million visitors this year, averaging nearly 3,700 visitors per day. According to reports generated by the site's LiveSTATS® analyzer (DEEPMETRIX Corporation), the majority of users are from North America, with Europe and Asia supplying much of the rest of the traffic.

"Our suppliers, integrators, consultants, educators and users want to make connections around the world and right next door, so through committee work and other input they've been highly active in the design and content of Robotics Online," said Brian Huse, Director, Marketing & Public Relations. "We couldn't be happier for our members and how they are benefiting from this tremendous user interest from home and abroad."

Among the beneficiaries are those using a new employment service recently licensed by RIA from Boxwood Technologies, a company that specializes in online job bank technology. The Robotics Online Career Center provides job seekers with complete job search control to find industry job listings quickly and easily, including automatic e-mail notification of new jobs.

"In a few short months, it (the Robotics Online Career Center) has attracted nearly 200 resumes, and we know our members have hired from this pool of industry talent after trying other, less targeted resources," said Huse.

Robotics Online is a full service Web site for the industrial robotics community. It features a Buyer's Guide including "Request for Bid" services, an Ask the Experts forum, news, feature stories, case studies, technical papers, cost justification models and myriad resources for those who are new or veterans in the robotics industry.

Said Huse, "Google is the leading source of referrals for Robotics Online, followed closely by Yahoo and MSN. We cultivate this strong support by constantly updating our site with new information and services. There is rising demand for its limited ad space, which usually sells out early in the year for some sections as members take advantage of special incentives and discounts - allowing us to continue to provide this prized industry service."
