RPA Returns to PACK EXPO, Bigger Than Ever
Press release date: October 4, 2012
Reusable Packaging Association Sponsors Pavilion Provides Conference Programming
Arlington, Va. — The Reusable Packaging Pavilion will make its return to Chicago at PACK EXPO International 2012 (October 28-31; McCormick Place, Chicago). Sponsored by the Reusable Packaging Association (RPA), this pavilion is sold out and the largest it’s ever been. Its exhibitors are suppliers of reusable pallets, bulk containers, washing technology, poolers and other solutions that help brand owners enhance the sustainability of their operations while reducing costs.
The Reusable Packaging Pavilion plays an important role at PACK EXPO by connecting attendees with reusable transport packaging solutions that ensure products make the journey the store shelf, safely and efficiently,” said Charles D. Yuska, president CEO, PMMI. “The demand for practical, sustainability-enhancing solutions will continue to drive the growth of this pavilion.”
Additionally, RPA will provide educational programing at The Conference at PACK EXPO, which runs concurrently with the show, from Monday, October 29, through Wednesday, October 31. Sessions offer a special focus on sustainability, the benefits of intelligent shipping and container selection criteria. A full conference schedule and registration details are available at www.packexpo.com.
“The pavilion and our conference sessions keep growing every year in response to the positive feedback we receive from attendees,” said Jerry Welcome, president, RPA. “Having all these resources in one place helps attendees get complete information about reusables, whether they are just starting with implementation or they want to evolve their supply chains further to gain more efficiencies and cost savings. And in turn, it’s a great opportunity for our members and RPA to showcase the value we bring to the packaging market.”
RPA will also present its first annual Excellence in Reusable Packaging Award at PACK EXPO. The award is designed to recognize companies that have developed, supported or implemented measurable and innovative reusable solutions in a business-to-business supply chain.
The Reusable Packaging Pavilion is just one of several pavilions and customer-centric features to help attendees maximize their time at PACK EXPO. These include The Processing Zone, The Pharmaceutical Pavilion, The Confectionary Pavilion and The Brand Zone as well as several networking lounges dedicated to the baking and snack, beverage, confectionery and pharmaceutical industries.
