Reichhold Named to Board of Directors for Mexican Chemical Industry Association, ANIQ

Research Triangle Park, NC (May 14, 2007) - Reichhold, Inc. has been appointed to serve on the board of directors for the Mexican national chemical industry association, ANIQ, La Associacion Nacional de la Industria Quimicais, a prestigious honor for the company.

Appointees to the ANIQ board of directors are confirmed by affiliated member companies, and serve two-year terms. For the 2007-2009 period, Finance Manager Gregorio Berrones will represent Reichhold on the ANIQ board. Berrones is based out of Reichhold's Mexico corporate offices and manufacturing site in Atlacomulco.

Reichhold is the world's largest producer of unsaturated polyester resins for composites and a leading supplier of resins for the coatings and graphic arts markets with 18 manufacturing facilities in 11 countries.

Founded in 1959, ANIQ's mission is to promote the sustainable development and competitiveness of the Mexican chemical industry on a worldwide basis. As the leading chemical trade organization in Mexico, ANIQ represents more than the 90% of the private production of chemicals in the country through its 200 member companies.

ANIQ's structure includes a number of sections and commissions which work on annual programs focused on helping the organization fulfill its duties to the chemical industry. Reichhold will participate actively within these sections and commissions. Reichhold Sales Manger Gabriel Siles will participate in the Foreign Trade commission and also in the Synthetic Resins section. Atlacomulco Plant Manager Guillermo Juarez will participate in ANIQ's Environment Health and Safety commission. Reichhold Corporate Services Manager Jesus Mojarro will serve on the Labor and Human Resources commission.

As an ANIQ board member, Reichhold has joined a select group of companies which benefit from interacting with parties related to the chemical industry both within Mexico and throughout the world. In addition to representing the industry, ANIQ promotes social and environmental care programs and provides specialized services,
information and training for members.

"Working more closely with the ANIQ organization has been a key goal for Reichhold's Mexican Management Team," explained Reichhold Senior Vice President Rodney Biddle. "Being part of ANIQ's board and participating in its commissions gives us a unique opportunity to better understand industry trends and practices," he continued.

"It also gives us a chance to elevate Reichhold's visibility as a key player within the industry. Our Mexican Management Team is very honored to represent Reichhold and is committed to doing their very best in working with ANIQ," Biddle concluded.

Reichhold Chairman, President and CEO John Gaither echoed Biddle's sentiments. "Mexico has been and continues to be a key market for Reichhold in both the coatings and composites industries," Gaither said. "We believe our involvement with ANIQ will bring tremendous value, both to Reichhold itself and our customers. We feel very privileged to participate as a member of the ANIQ board of directors," Gaither concluded.
