WEST CHESTER, PA - Portescap, A Danaher Motion Company, has available a new 24 hour rapid prototyping program for its high speed brushless DC slotted motor family. Machine builders can now order prototypes of size 5, size 6, size 9 and size 11 BLDC motors, with gearhead options of 5:1 and 25:1 gear ratios, with 24 hour turnaround. Standard brushless DC motor prototypes are also available with an autoclave option.
Non-standard prototype orders requiring minor product modifications (i.e. flat on shaft, hole on shaft, shorter/longer lead-wires) are available for delivery within five business days. Major redesign customization prototypes take only five weeks from time-of-order to delivery.
Portescap BLDC motors with electronic commutation deliver smooth, highly efficient and quiet operation ideal for surgical hand tool, dental hand tool and industrial hand tool applications. Models are available for 5 VDC to 150 VDC operation, with available no-load speeds ranging from 4,700 rpm to 100,000 rpm, and maximum continuous torque of 275.7 mNm (39 oz-in) with peak torque up to 2,278mNm (322.7 oz-in).
Portescap also has available a line of sterilizable BLDC slotted motors uniquely designed to meet the requirements of sterile and other demanding environments, from surgical tools to aerospace and defense applications. Portescap sterilizable motors are tested to withstand in excess of 1,000 autoclave cycles.
