A consumer-friendly 3kg pack from RPC Containers UKSC has been selected by NGS Ltd for its easy-spread 'Pure White' de-icing salt.
The company successfully sells Pure White marine salt in sacks of up to 25kg for bulk users but, particularly following the heavy UK snow in the winter of 2010/11, was looking for an easy-to-use pack more suited to general retail outlets such as supermarkets and garage forecourts.
RPC UKSC designed a 3kg pack which is ideally suited for general domestic use, such as de-icing doorsteps, footpaths and driveways.
The branding is underpinned by the white plastic and the use of two colourful labels, back and front, which are applied by RPC UKSC during the manufacturing process.
The custom made container is fitted with a standard Procap 63mm flapper cap in contrasting blue, and features a wide neck and integrated handle for convenient distribution of the salt.
Promotion of the product has seen it go on display at several leading trade shows, using the snooker player Jimmy White to further tie in with the brand name. NGS also sponsors White in the UK's Premier League Snooker competition.
NGS imports and supplies high purity sustainable white salt ideal for paths, roads, car parks and highways. The high purity provides a quicker de-icing effect, with anti-caking properties which leave no residue on the ground. It represents a clean, sustainable, alternative to rock salt.
