GEMI Launches the Guided Discovery Process of the GEMI Solution Tools Matrix(TM)
WASHINGTON -- The Global Environmental Management Initiative(GEMI) today announced the release of the Guided Discovery process of the GEMI Solution Tools Matrix(TM).
"I am pleased to announce that we have created an interactive, question/answer based system, the GEMI Solution Tools Matrix(TM)Guided Discovery process, to help users who are unfamiliar with the more than 30 GEMI solution tools find useful information and the most relevant tool for their need," said GEMI Chair, Keith Miller, 3M. "The GEMI Solution Tools Matrix(TM) serves as a how-to / where-to solution for professionals seeking guidance on addressing environmental sustainability issues."
GEMI Communications Chair, Steve Shedroff, Procter & Gamble, noted that "the Guided Discovery contains a set of introductory questions to guide the user into determining which of the GEMI solution tools will be most relevant based on their responses. Upon completing each of the 7 questions, the user is presented with a set of results based on their previous responses and is able to view a list of relevant GEMI solution tools, view a brief pop-up description of the tool, as well as click through to a full item detail page for that solution tool." "And, as the user completes each question, they will further narrow their search for the most relevant GEMI solution tool for their need," added Shedroff.
"The Matrix(TM) is intended to highlight the value of our diverse portfolio of solution-based tools and serve as a navigational guide to assist companies in their own pursuit of environmental sustainability and EHS excellence," said GEMI Matrix Project Chair, Leslie Montgomery, Southern Company. "The Matrix(TM) displays a historical timeline of key environmental-related events and GEMI's solution tools using mouseover/pop-up windows to display tool details, associated publications and other related resources. The GEMI Solution Tools Matrix(TM) can be accessed on our website (www.gemi.org/ToolMatrix)," Montgomery added.
