The company's proven safety solutions for the oil and gas industry will be showcased at Booth #321.

"The SPE conference offers an ideal platform to demonstrate how we help oil and gas customers improve driver safety and boost fleet efficiencies," said Alan Hall, Managing Director of MiX Telematics (Middle East and Australasia). Hall is responsible for heading up the company's global MiX SafeDrive solution, which combines In-Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS), defensive driver training and consulting services to bring about comprehensive road safety solutions for clients.

"MiX SafeDrive helps our customers reduce their accident rates. Our solution includes reporting and analytics, which enables HSE managers to identify problem areas almost immediately and implement appropriate measures like driver training programs accordingly," said Hall.

"A large MiX Telematics oil and gas customer in the Middle East achieved a 72 percent sustained improvement in driver behavior only six weeks after installing one of our solutions. The same customer achieved a 15 percent reduction in fuel costs within 12 months. Another oil and gas customer reduced their road accidents from 215 annually, to just six within three years," said Hall.

Among other sectors, MiX Telematics has worked within the oil and gas industry for over a decade. Customers in the industry include JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (Qatar), Qatar Shell, Schlumberger and Baker Hughes.
