Rapid product selector tables make it easy to use, includes 12 new products
San Diego, CA - March 2011 - TDK-Lambda Americas, a group company of TDK Corporation, has released its new 172 page power products catalog for 2011. This new catalog contains detailed specification sheets for TDK-Lambda's full line of AC-DC power supplies, laboratory supplies, rack mount front-end power systems, DC-DC converters, and EMI/EMC filters. Also included are 12 new product series, handy conversion factors/equations and selection guides to assist the user in specifying the best power solution for their applications. The available products range from 1.5 to 12,000-watts with either single or multiple outputs.
Featured in the catalog is the unique PFE Series. These units are "the first single-brick" AC-DC power supplies that include AC input rectifiers, PFC circuits and fully regulated DC outputs of 12V, 28V, 48V or 51V. Output power ratings of 300W, 500W, 700W and 1000W are now available
Among the new products added this year is the revolutionary EFE Series. These supplies employ an 8-bit microcontroller to achieve full digital control of the output and to handle internal housekeeping routines. Output power ratings range from 300 to 400-watts. The EFE Series are available with ITE, Industrial and Medical international safety certifications, making them ideal for a wide range of user applications.
Also new is HFE Series of 1600W front-end power supplies for use in distributed, hot-pluggable and redundant power systems. The HFE1600 series operate off a universal AC input of from 85 to 265VAC, with active PFC, and provides a well regulated DC output of 12V, 24V or 48V. With the 19-inch rack-mount enclosure as many as five (5) supplies can be paralleled with automatic load-sharing to provide up to 7600W of output power. A popular option is an integral MCU in each supply that allows for remote programming, monitoring and status reporting via an isolated I2C and PMBus interface. And, an "energy-saving" feature of the I2C/PMBus interface is that rack-mounted HFE1600 supplies can be individually turned on or off as the total system load demand varies over time (aka "load-shedding").
