Manufacturers looking for a small 5-axis vertical machining center but still requiring the capability to machine complex multi-surfaced parts out of difficult materials will find the robust box-way Ganesh 5X-250 VMC worthy of consideration. The 5X-250 weighs over 2-tons and features heavily ribbed box-way construction to dampen cutting vibration working together with the robust Tsudakoma rotary CNC trunnion table to provide superior surface finish and improved tool life. With pre-tensioned double-anchored ballscrews and 40-block look-ahead in the FANUC control the 5X-250 is designed to generate precise programmed feature definition. Spindle speeds up to 12,000 RPM are supplied by the 25-HP spindle motor. Axis moves are X=28", Y=18", and Z=20". Up to 24-tools are available with the #40-taper ATC. The Ganesh VMC machine series is also available in 18" x 14", 22" x 16", 40" x 20", and 49" x 24" sized machines.
