Erie, Pa. - Charlie Ingram, Eriez® Vice President of Sales and Marketing, announces that Phenix Equipment, Inc. of Lodi, California has earned the 2009 Merwin Award. Eriez presents this award each year to its most outstanding U.S. field sales office.
"Our colleagues at Phenix did a superior job in 2009," says Ingram. "Phenix increased the number of customers from which they gained orders, increased the overall number of orders obtained and continued to successfully sell new Eriez product developments, such as E-Z Tec® X-Ray Inspection Systems." He adds, "Phenix also continues to invest in outstanding marketing programs, such as their own demonstration vehicle, several regional trade shows and their own office show/demonstration room."
Ingram explains that while Phenix won the Merwin Award, a number of other Eriez field sales offices performed exceptionally well over the past year. Ingram says, "While most would agree 2009 was a tough year in business, several Eriez sales offices were up to the challenge and exceeded their full-year sales goals to become Merwin Award finalists." He adds, "Phenix led in a very impressive group of sales offices to earn the Merwin Award."
The team at Phenix Equipment, Inc. includes Patrick J. Macfarlane, Peter E. Rossi, Carl Tenter, Chris Whittier and Tracy Wells. This is the second time the company has won this prestigious award.
