New Service from Fluid Imaging Brings Latest Technology to Original FlowCAM®s

Yarmouth, ME: A new technology upgrade service from particle imaging and analysis instrumentation manufacturer Fluid Imaging Technologies, Yarmouth, Maine (www.fluidimaging.com), enables FlowCAM® particle imaging and analysis system users to install many of the company's latest advances on their existing models. Offering a menu of available upgrades developed during the more than 10 years since the FlowCAM's introduction, the service encompasses advances for superior detection, imaging, operation and analysis. Highlighting the advances are the Front-Fill Illumination(TM) capability, which features bidirectional front and back lighting to illuminate the surfaces of opaque particles and reveal their true colors and textures, and the company's automated syringe pump, which achieves sample volume efficiencies up to 90% while enabling operators to load the sample, press start and walk away. The latest version of the company's proprietary particle image analysis software, VisualSpreadsheet© V2.4, which enables operators to apply filter parameters in real-time during data acquisition while a sample is running rather than waiting until the sample has been processed, is also among the optional upgrades available.

To participate, FlowCAM users may contact the company with their model numbers. A technical representative will provide a comparison of the model's hardware and software specifications to the range of available upgrades along with an assessment to determine the advances that are most likely to significantly enhance performance based on the application.
