New Corrugated Material Designed Specifically for On Demand Packaging

SALT LAKE CITY, -- Packsize International LLC today announced the availability of z-Fold(TM), a proprietary 97 percent recyclable corrugated material designed specifically for On Demand Packaging®. With z-Fold(TM), Packsize is able to shift the packaging control to customers, giving them the ability to control time and costs associated with carton packaging. Packsize will feature packaging made with z-Fold(TM) at PACK EXPO International 2012, booth #N5518 (McCormick Place, Chicago; Oct. 28-31).

Available to customers of its corrugated converting machines, Packsize z-Fold(TM) can be creased, cut, and scored into an infinite number of box styles and sizes. Packsize z-Fold(TM) is also free from the quality defects often associated with less advanced converting machines. As a result, there are fewer problems on the On Demand Packaging® line, ultimately providing the customer with a higher box yield.

Corrugated packaging continues to have broad appeal among packaging buyers and end-users alike and remains today an environmentally preferable method for product delivery. This type of packaging is versatile, cost-effective, allows for customization, and lends itself to product protection during shipping. According to trade association PMMI's 2012 Shipments Study, container/material manufacturing had the greatest dollar sales of $760 million in 2011, about 10 percent of the total market.

Z-Fold(TM) also aligns well with the company's green packaging initiatives. "Because Packsize has established multiple z-Fold(TM) production facilities throughout the United States, we are able to reduce the delivery distance and carbon footprint for our customers in North America," said CEO Hanko Kiessner.
