Power Engineers of Norcross, GA, is offering a seminar on Green Sustainable Technology at PROCESS EXPO 2011, November 1-4. Led by Darryl Wernimont, seminar will review green sustainable technology over past 10 years and look to what might occur in next decade. There will be a discussion of energy audits, the identification and understanding of what is actually occurring in plant operations. This knowledge will allow facility to take actions to achieve measurable sustainability.

Power Engineers of Norcross, GA, is offering a seminar on Green Sustainable Technology at PROCESS EXPO 2011 this November 1-4, in Chicago. Green initiatives are one of the leading topics within the food and beverage industry. Though much focus initially was on AE&C building projects, lessons learned in this sector have driven companies to challenge their operations in search of more energy efficient solutions for their operations. This seminar will review Green Sustainable Technology over the past ten years and look to what might occur in the next decade.
The presenter of this seminar, Darryl Wernimont of Power Engineers, is uniquely qualified to tackle this project. He has been extremely active for the past 11 years having served on the LEED Council for nine of those 11 years (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). "I can remember in 2000 talking with some clients who for the first time began to discuss Green Sustainable Initiatives leading toward LEED certification of buildings," said Wernimont. "Today every client is discussing it at some level," concluded Wernimont. Looking forward, Wernimont predicts that "the next wave or generation of sustainability will involve a more focused challenge of existing facilities and operations."
In the seminar there will be a discussion of energy audits, the identification and understanding of what is actually occurring in plant operations. This knowledge will allow a facility to take actions to achieve measurable sustainability. The actions taken will drive the implementation of PLC's, PC's, software, instrumentation and alternative energy to achieve sustainable objectives. Wernimont and other experts from Power Engineers will be available to meet with processors at their booth on the PROCESS EXPO exhibit floor.
