PACK EXPO's Focus on Beverage Gets a Digital Perspective
Reston, Va.; - PMMI, owner and producer of PACK EXPO International 2012 (McCormick Place, Chicago, Ill.; October 28-31), announces the launch of The Beverage Connected Community, an online forum where the beverage industry can connect and continue their PACK EXPO show experience beyond the show floor.
This latest addition to the PACK EXPO Connected Communities will be an online extension of PACK EXPO's new Beverage Cooler Lounge, sponsored by the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT), which makes its debut in the Grand Concourse at PACK EXPO International 2012.
"Connected Communities are already in place for the Pharmaceutical, Confectionery, and Baking and Snack markets, as well as the general packaging and processing communities," says Charles D.Yuska, president & CEO of PMMI. "With the announcement of the Beverage Cooler Lounge to serve one of our largest customer markets, building The Beverage Connected Community was the next logical step." It's all partof the customer-centric approach to PACK EXPO, Yuska notes.
"There are commonalities between the needs of specific market niches for packaging and processing," Yuska adds. "But each market has its own unique qualities, too. The lounges at PACK EXPO and the Connected Communities online are in place to expand the opportunities industry professionals in orserving those markets have to meet, network and share ideas."
PMMI launched The PACK EXPO Connected Communities in 2011 with communities for general packaging/processing, Baking and Snack, Candy and Pharmaceutical industries.
