Rockville, MD - The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) announces the creation of an entry-level online training course addressing broad knowledge for those interested in the practice of water damage restoration.
Developed by RIA, in cooperation with ILS Corp, a pioneer in online industry-specific education, the Basic Water Loss Training Course is an affordable, entry-level online education program that provides excellent training for new or entry-level water loss field technicians, administrative personnel, human resources employees, marketing staff, or restoration professionals who want to enter and learn more about the water loss niche market.
The course includes eight modules focusing on different aspects of water loss:: Overview of Water Loss Restoration Science and Fundamentals of Drying Communications & Public Relations Safety Water Loss Equipment Water Metering & Monitoring Contents Restoration Drying Procedures for Materials
The self-paced training modules range from 30-45 minutes in length and include testing at the conclusion of each module. Upon completion of all eight modules, the user receives a Certification of Completion.
"This venture was the brainchild of RIA past president, Rusty Amarante, CR. His vision was for RIA to offer basic training in water loss so employers could efficiently and productively train new hires in the fundamentals of water loss restoration," said Cynthia Hereth, director of training & certification. "It's been an honor to work with the Development Team and ILS Corp. on this project, and we're thrilled to offer this affordable training to the restoration industry."
