Regional center opens in Europe to offer broader customer support
Dunedin, Florida (November 2, 2007) - Ocean Optics (www.OceanOptics.com), the industry leader in miniature photonics, has established new regional operations in Europe to enhance customer relationships and support throughout Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Known as Ocean Optics EMEA, the regional operation is based in Ostfildern Germany to support sales, training, deployment and educational offerings through the company's offices in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and France.
Ocean Optics EMEA brings to the table a team of seasoned Ocean Optics leaders. Gerald Nitsch, General Manager; Dieter Steck, Senior Director of Operations and Marco Snikkers, Commercial Director all bring considerable talent, experience and direction to the company's new expanded efforts.
"Continental Europe has been a solid and growing market for us in the past and this is another step to provide a better, more consistent experience to our customers in this important market," says Ocean Optics President, Rob Randelman. "Additionally, we have the unique opportunity to provide an increased level of service, distribution and OEM capabilities to our customers throughout the region, especially in high growth markets such as Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Mid-East - that is EMEA team's key goal."
