TOKYO - OKI Data Corporation, an OKI Group company specializing in the professional color printer business, today announced that it won the "2010 Ecohitech Award" in the category "Prodotti Hi-Tech Eco- Virtuosi" (Eco Conscious High-tech Products) in Italy.
The Ecohitech Award, sponsored by the Consortium Ecoqual'It and now in its twelfth year, is an important environmental recognition for hi-tech companies that have developed environmentally friendly products, solutions and processes.
OKI Data won the award for the environmental performance achieved through its new product range: The newly launched C300, C500, B400 and C800 Series and MC351, MC361, MC561, color desktop multi-function products are the result of OKI's continually evolving digital LED technology and they proved to be the most sensitive to environmental regulations.In particular, OKI Data won the most significant award in particular for the energy performance of the C530dn, A4 color printer and MC561dn, the first color MFP to use Digital LED technology in all its functions. Assigning the award to OKI Data, the jury said:
"The new C530dn A4 color printer and MC561dn color MFP, which are 100% based on the innovative digital LED technology, achieve great energy saving performance. The adoption of the intelligent Deep Sleep mode functionality reduces power consumption in "stand-by" mode significantly". "I am pleased and proud to receive such important recognition for our company," said Gianni Giuseppe Grappiolo, Managing Director of OKI Systems Italia. "We have the right and the duty to contribute to the development of a better future and this recognition rewards the OKI Data Group's efforts to ensure market-leading products that are environment friendly".
