Fremont, CA - NovaTorque, Inc. (www.novatorque.com) a Fremont, CA based producer of high efficiency, cost effective, permanent magnet motors, has completed its move from its 12,500 square foot facility in Sunnyvale, CA, to the company's new headquarters, a 27,000 square foot facility in Fremont, CA.
"In the past six months NovaTorque has achieved a number of milestones leading to the need for a larger facility, including implementing the company's first commercial applications, landing a major development project, launching a new product range and establishing a US-based manufacturing partner to accommodate NovaTorque's high volume customers. The company is also continues to hire additional new employees," says Emily Liggett, NovaTorque's Chief Executive Officer.
Driven by variable frequency drives, NovaTorque's new Gen2.0 PremiumPlus+(TM) brushless permanent magnet motors reduce energy consumption by 7% to 12%, when compared with a premium efficiency AC induction motor.
"Our vision is that this radically new, cost effective and far more energy efficient electric motor design will be as ubiquitous tomorrow as the common AC induction motor is today" says Liggett.
Electric motors are everywhere, and nearly half of the electricity produced in the word is used to drive electric motors. The International Energy Agency estimates that "The potential exists to cost effectively improve the energy efficiency of electric motor systems by 20% to 30%."
