Northrop Grumman Assigns Sonya Sepahban to Lead Space Technology Sector's New Mission Excellence Organization



REDONDO BEACH, Calif., Nov. 29, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed Sonya Sepahban to lead the newly created Mission Excellence organization at its Space Technology sector. The organization combines Six Sigma, Safety & Mission Assurance, and Chief Engineer functions into one organization.

In this new position, Sepahban will be responsible for advancing the maturity and performance of the sector's processes, increasing the cross-functional focus on production reliability and quality, and the focus on customer deliverable products. The new organization will emphasize collaboration across the value stream to ensure mission success with stable, predictable processes to ensure flawless execution.

In her previous position as vice president for Systems Engineering, Sepahban was responsible for end-to-end system engineering functions, which included the development and implementation of the sector's overall system engineering strategy and processes. Her previous leadership roles include vice president and deputy for Technology Development, and vice president and deputy general manager of Engineering. She has also been responsible for design integration, assembly, test and launch site operations in previous government and industry roles.
