DULUTH, Georgia - June 27, 2007 - Frank Burkus recently joined Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) as global business development manager for new materials in the Adhesive Systems Group. Frank will be based in Duluth, Georgia, reporting to Eric Luftig, global marketing manager for Nordson's Adhesive Systems Group.

In this new position, Frank will be responsible for assessing and managing new global business development opportunities and leveraging the breadth of current and potential Nordson technologies to help solve materials processing and delivery needs across various industries.

Frank comes to Nordson Corporation from Momentive Performance Materials, formerly General Electric (GE) Silicones, where he spent ten and one-half years leading the development and execution of strategic growth initiatives. Prior to his time at GE Silicones, Frank spent two years as a chemist at General Electric's Global Research and Development Center where he was at the forefront of breakthrough catalyst and silicone coating development programs. Frank is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, holds eleven U.S. patents, and is a published author in numerous international scientific and trade journals.

Frank earned a BS degree in Chemistry and Polymer Science from Carnegie Mellon University with graduate work completed at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Lally School of Management and Technology. He will be relocating to the Duluth, Georgia area with his wife Wendy and his daughter Sophie.
