Educational Resource from Henkel on Adhesive and Sealant Use

in Motor and Generator Manufacturing

Rocky Hill, Conn. - November 22, 2005.... Henkel Corporation has introduced the LoctiteŽ Design Guide for Electric Motors and Generators, a 46-page educational resource written for design, manufacturing and quality engineers regarding adhesives and sealants use in electric motors and generators.

The Design Guide for Electric Motors and Generators provides detailed information on the nine primary applications for adhesives and sealants: general bonding, magnet bonding, gasketing, potting, retaining, tacking, threadlocking, thread sealing, and wire reinforcement. Each application section outlines the best adhesive or sealant technologies available, and features a chart comparing the technologies.

A section of the Design Guide for Electric Motors and Generators focuses entirely on the 10 appropriate adhesive and sealant chemistries, listing applications, advantages/disadvantages, descriptions and process notes. The literature closes with a four-page product selector chart with detailed technical data on LoctiteŽ products.

To obtain a copy of the new LoctiteŽ Design Guide for Electric Motors and Generators, fax a request to 216-475-5374, send an e-mail to literature@loctite.com requesting LT-4320, or access www.motors.loctite.com.
