ST. LOUIS - February 11, 2011 - Phil Ostapowicz, President and CEO of FleetwoodGoldcoWyard, Inc., has announced the promotion of Neal McConnellogue to the position of Executive Vice President. In this new role, McConnellogue will assume the financial accountability of CBI Fleetwood Ltd., a FleetwoodGoldcoWyard company operating in South Yorkshire, England. This expanded responsibility will allow McConnellogue the added experience in the financial aspect of the business while he continues to lead the sales and marketing departments domestically and internationally.
Over the past decade, FleetwoodGoldcoWyard has emerged as one of the leading packaging machinery firms in the U.S., offering a full complement of conveyance and material handling equipment solutions to a global customer base. In 2010, the company announced the merger of its two key business locations in the U.K.: FleetwoodGoldcoWyard in St. Albans, which specialized in end handling equipment, and Central Bottling International in Doncaster, which has more than 25 years of experience specializing in providing new and refurbished industrial packaging equipment worldwide. CBI Fleetwood combines the strength, talent and resources of both teams, allowing the company to provide continued support to its customers throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.
"I have worked with Neal for many years, and his leadership abilities, knowledge and dedication have been an instrumental contribution to the success of FleetwoodGoldcoWyard," Ostapowicz said. "I have every confidence that CBI Fleetwood will continue to enjoy disciplined financial growth and broad market leadership under Neal's capable direction."
Commenting on the announcement, McConnellogue said, "I am very pleased with the new position and responsibility, and I look forward to working more closely with the entire team to attain the goals we have set."
McConnellogue spent part of his career with Jetstream Systems, which was acquired by Barry-Wehmiller Companies in 1991 and merged with Fleetwood Systems in 1999 to form Fleetwood, Inc., beginning a new chapter in McConnellogue's leadership career. As Vice President of Sales for Fleetwood, McConnellogue spearheaded a growing sales force that was enhanced by the 2005 acquisitions of Wyard Industries, Goldco International, Inc. and AMBEC, followed by the 2008 integration of Barry-Wehmiller's historic brewery equipment business. Today, FleetwoodGoldcoWyard designs and manufactures its complete range of integrated packaging machinery solutions across five operations in Chicago; Denver; Lynchburg, Va.; Baltimore, Md.; and Doncaster, U.K.
