NETGEAR Wireless-N Networking Products Get Intel 'Connect with Centrino' Certification
Certification follows extensive real-world tests by Intel in typical home and enterprise environments
NETGEAR, a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, has announced that its RangeMax NEXT Wireless-N Routers have become the first wireless networking product in the industry to ship with Intel's 'Connect with Centrino' certification. NETGEAR's RangeMax Wireless-N Routers (WNR834B and WNR854T) have successfully passed the certification process ensuring compatibility and interoperability with Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N.
NETGEAR's RangeMax NEXT Wireless-N Routers, which have been 'tested and verified to work together' with Intel® Next-Gen Wireless N, were subjected to extensive real-world tests by Intel over the course of several months in typical home and enterprise environments. The RangeMax(TM) NEXT Wireless-N Router caters to the modern household by enabling family members to connect to multiple Internet services and online media at Gigabit speeds from anywhere in the house. As the built-in 4-port Gigabit switch delivers up to 1000 Mbps to wired devices, users are guaranteed a faster connection speed to download movies, stream music, make VoIP calls and browse the web simultaneously without the usual hassle of interruptions and freezes.

The RangeMax NEXT wireless product family provides the security and ease of use that NETGEAR is known for with a robust set of features including: NAT and SPI firewalls, Touchless WiFi Security, 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption, Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key (WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK), Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS), and Exposed Host (DMZ) for secure gaming.
