NEMA Publishes NEMA VE 2-2013 Cable Tray Installation Guidelines



ROSSLYN, Va., —The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published NEMA VE 2-2013 Cable Tray Installation Guidelines. The fourth edition of this publication, VE 2 is a practical guide for the proper installation of cable tray systems.



This publication addresses shipping, handling, storing, and installing cable tray systems. Information on maintenance and system modification is also provided. Cable tray system design must comply with National Electrical Code® Article 392, NEMA VE 1 Metal Cable Tray Systems, NEMA FG 1 Fiberglass Cable Tray Systems, and follow safe work practices as described in NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. The guidelines in this publication are useful to engineers, contractors, and maintenance personnel.
