NEMA Publishes ANSI_ANSLG C81.61-2007 American National Standard for Electric Lamp Bases-Specifications for Bases (Caps) for Electric Lamps



(ROSSLYN, Va.)-The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), on behalf of the American National Standard Lighting Group (ANSLG), has published ANSI_ANSLG C81.61-2007, American National Standard for Electric Lamp Bases-Specifications for Bases (Caps) for Electric Lamps. This standard sets forth the specifications for bases (caps) used on electric lamps.

This standard updates the 2006 version and incorporates the following revisions:
o GX16d (7004-154-1, "Go" gauge for termination)
o PGJ5 (7004-153-1, For Compact Metal Halide Lamps)
o GU6.5 (7004-152-1, Two-pin turn and lock for metal halide lamps)
o PG18.5d (7004-147-1, Cap)
o GX53 (New) (7004-142-1, Low profile miniature fluorescent lamp base)
o BAW9s (7004-149-1, Base for HY21W lamp)
o BAZ9s (7004-150-1, Base for HY6W lamp)
o WZ3x16q (7004-151-1, Base)
o 2G8 (7004-141-2, Four-pin compact fluorescent with 6 key variants)
o G9 (7004-129-2, Cap)
