NEMA Publishes NEMA HV 2-2014 Application Guide for Ceramic Suspension Insulators

ROSSLYN, Va., —The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published NEMA HV 2-2014 Suspension and Post Type Insulators for Electric Power Overhead Lines General Use Information.

HV 2 provides guidelines for the proper use of insulators and suggestions for precautions to be taken against improper use. This latest edition of HV 2 was rewritten to include all suspension and post type high-voltage insulators as covered in the ANSI C29 series of American National Standards.

NEMA HV 2-2014 may be downloaded at no cost or purchased in hardcopy for $61 on the NEMA website.
