NACD elects 2009 Officers/Directors at Large.

December 5, 2008 - The NACD elected Bruce H. Schechinger as Chairman at its 37th Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, AZ. Jean-Pierre Baizan and Bart Whitaker were elected, and Richard A. Peacock reelected, as Directors at Large. The organization also elected Donna D. Boldt as Southern Region President as well as Bruce L. Whetter for the Central Region and Susan T. Nicholls-Billheimer for the Western Region. Northeast Region President Jeanette Glose Partlow will continue serving for the next 2 yr.

Bruce H. Schechinger, President of BHS Marketing LLC, Salt Lake City, UT, has been elected Chairman of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD). Schechinger has served as Vice Chairman during the past two years.

Schechinger joins NACD Vice Chairman Andrew K. Skipp, President/CEO of Hubbard-Hall, Inc., Waterbury, CT, and Treasurer Roger T. Harris, Producers Chemical Company, Batavia, IL, who were also elected as top officers of NACD. Elections were held today during the Annual Business Meeting at NACD's 37th Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, AZ.

In other action, Jean-Pierre Baizan, SolvChem, Inc. (formerly Solvents & Chemicals, Inc.), Pearland, TX, and Bart Whitaker, Whitaker Oil Company, Atlanta, GA, were elected, and Richard A. Peacock, President, PVS-Nolwood Chemicals, Inc., Detroit, MI, re-elected, as Directors at Large.

Also joining the Board are three new Regional Presidents: Southern Region - Donna D. Boldt, President, Deeks & Company, Inc., Stone Mountain, GA; Central Region - Bruce L. Whetter, President, Americhem Sales Corporation, Mason, MI; and Western Region - Susan T. Nicholls-Billheimer, Vice President, Ross Organic Specialty Sales, Inc. Northeast Region President Jeanette Glose Partlow, President of Maryland Chemical Company, Inc., will continue to serve for the next two years.

"NACD is fortunate to have such outstanding individuals willing to serve their fellow industry peers," said NACD Chairman Bruce Schechinger. "The Executive Committee, other Board members, and the NACD membership will benefit from their knowledge of the industry and leadership skills. I look forward to working with them during the next two years."
