Buffalo, NY, Feb. 26, 2008 - Multisorb today announced that it has strengthened its leadership in the company's important healthcare packaging market with a key promotion. Adrian T. Possumato has been appointed to global director, healthcare packaging. Working with a team of business development leaders, Possumato will be responsible for developing and managing Multisorb's global healthcare portfolio, which includes pharmaceutical, diagnostics, dietary supplement and medical device market segments.

Possumato has more than seventeen years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. Prior to his recent appointment, Possumato served as the global manager of Multisorb's pharmaceutical market where he was responsible for guiding the company's pharmaceutical business planning and implementation.

Based on his knowledge of varied healthcare application needs, drug degradation mechanisms, packaging systems, analytical chemistry and formulation chemistry, Possumato advises his customers on the use of sorbent technology. He brings years of consultative experience to help customers stabilize their drug formulations and maintain the efficacy of their healthcare devices.
