Press release date: March 27, 2008

New group dedicated to development of LED lighting technology

Providence, RI - Mule Lighting, a pioneer in lighting and battery related products since 1923, has established a new division to focus on the development of LED lighting technology and solutions. Led by Mule Vice President Rob Cross, the new LEDalux division will be headquartered in Providence, RI, and serve the global lighting market.

"Mule has been involved in the development of LED lighting solutions for nearly a decade now," said Cross. "But recent developments in both LED products and technology have so spurred our growth in this area that we felt we needed to more fully focus our resources. The LEDalux Division is committed to designing products that provide the utmost in quality and innovation. Our state-of-the-art LED product portfolio will provide our customers with energy and maintenance reducing solutions for virtually all lighting applications."

"Further," said Cross, "we aim to design technically advanced and proven LED lighting solutions that meet the needs of design professionals such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD)."

Already doing business through their website, www.ledalux.com, flagship products for the new division include LED solutions for architectural, area and accent lighting, as well as a selection of LED lamps, products for signage applications, and a new line of solar-powered ambient lighting products for outdoor applications.

"With its exceptional durability, versatility and low energy requirements, LED technology offers incredible promise," said Cross. "The technology is now at the point where it can begin to replace conventional lighting in many applications, and we intend for our LEDalux Division to help lead that change."

Mule Lighting, Inc., is a custom manufacturer of quality lighting and battery related products, including Exit Signs, Emergency Lighting, Battery UPS Systems, Battery Chargers and Rechargeable Batteries. Mule's line of patented LED bulbs offers energy saving and cost-efficient alternatives to traditional incandescent lighting fixtures.
