FARMINGTON, Conn., January 18, 2007 - Tim Morris has been appointed general manager of the Laser Technology Center in Plymouth, Michigan. He will report to Dr. Holger Schlueter, vice president, laser for TRUMPF Inc.
Mr. Morris joined TRUMPF in May 2001 as a product manager. In July 2004 he was appointed technical sales manager of the Laser Technology Center, where he was responsible for developing new markets for the product group.
TRUMPF's Laser Technology Center in Michigan specializes in stand-alone lasers for customized systems, multi-axis laser systems, and both pulsed and continuous wave (cw) solid-state lasers. The Laser Technology Center is part of TRUMPF Inc., a subsidiary of the TRUMPF Group. TRUMPF is the world market and technology leader in lasers and laser systems for manufacturing technology.
