Southington, Conn. - January 14, 2011 - Kirk Mikulec has joined Baumer Ltd. as the company's Industry Segment Sales Manager for the oil and gas industry. In his new position, Mr. Mikulec will oversee sales of Baumer motion control and process instrumentation products including sensors and encoders to oil and gas industry customers in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
Mr. Mikulec brings to his new position more than 20 years of sales and sales management experience, specializing in automation, controls, motion and electronic components. For the last 10 years he served as regional sales manager for BEI Industrial Encoders where he specialized in the oil and gas market, achieving recognition as the company's top encoder salesperson.
Mr. Mikulec is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and previously served as an officer of the Dallas chapter of the International Society of Automation (ISA). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and currently resides in The Colony, Texas.
