Michael Wooddell Receives Welding Technology Certificate
Engineering Systems Inc. (ESI) is pleased to announce that Michael Wooddell has earned his
Welding Technology-Structural Certificate from Pikes Peak Community College. He joined ESI in
2004 and is a Technologist in the company's Colorado Springs, Colorado office.
Mr. Wooddell has over 10 years experience as a technician, with emphasis in designing and
fabricating test fixtures, as well as mounting system configurations on radio towers. His specialties
include product reliability and life cycle testing, CAD work, aircraft engine mechanics, fabrication,
welding and machining and vehicle maintenance and repair.
The certification course enhanced Michael's education in MIG welding and also exposed him to
other types of welding (TIG, SMAW and oxy-fuel), which will continue to add depth to his
technical capabilities. He is currently working with a business associate in developing his CNC
machining skills.
Recent assignments have included vehicle and motorcycle accident reconstruction, metallurgical
and failure analysis.
Mr. Wooddell is a member of various professional organizations and his extracurricular activities
include fabrication and customization of off-road vehicles, mountain biking and outdoor
