Anoka, Minnesota: Mate Precision Tooling, a world-leading manufacturer of CNC punch press tooling, announced today the opening of its new sales office in Shanghai, China. Wei Sun was appointed China Sales Manager for this new Mate office.
Jim Thomas, Vice President of International Sales, made the announcement and stated, "Mr. Sun's appointment and this new office demonstrate Mate's ongoing commitment to the Chinese market. The new office with Mr. Sun's leadership will support Mate's growing customer base in China by providing a full range of tooling solutions, sales and support."
"Mr. Sun will be responsible for dealer and direct sales development in China and Hong Kong," stated Mr. Thomas. "He has a very comprehensive sheet metal industry background. His successful track record in the fabricating industry, together with his cultural background, fluency in English, German and Chinese, and his technical education will be of great benefit to Mate's growth in China."
Prior to joining Mate, Mr. Sun worked for Trumpf GmbH & Co. KG in Germany and China from 2003 through 2008. Most recently, he worked for German industrial filter manufacturer Keller Lufttechnik GmbH & Co. KG at its representative office in Shanghai. Mr. Sun has a degree in engineering from Karlsruhe University in Germany and studied at Tongji University of Shanghai, China.
