Fourth-Generation Company Leader Focuses on Core Mission of Connecting Buyers and Sellers of Industrial/Commercial Products
New York, NY —ThomasNet® today announced the appointment of Mark Holst-Knudsen as President of the company (part of Thomas Industrial Network®). In his role, Mr. Holst-Knudsen is responsible for the overall strategic direction and profitability of ThomasNet. Through his leadership, ThomasNet continues to improve the comprehensive content, design and functionality of its product sourcing and supplier discovery platform, ThomasNet.com, to meet the evolving needs of serious buyers and drive more sales inquires to suppliers.

Mr. Holst-Knudsen is passionate about being part of a family-owned company, representing the fourth generation to take on a leadership role. His appointment coincides with the recently announced re-launch of ThomasNet.com, with advanced functionality and powerful new applictions. He also oversees the development and expansion of other Thomas programs to help manufacturers and distributors grow and operate more efficiently. These include Results-Powered Marketing (RPM), an agency/marketing service, and Thomas Enterprise Solutions, a group that enables suppliers to syndicate their product data across systems and sales channels.
Mr. Holst-Knudsen officially joined ThomasNet in 2001 as Director of Project Management, where he managed the content solutions product line and publishing technology. He was appointed Vice President-Content Solutions in 2006. Prior to joining Thomas, he held mangement positions at Thor Technologies, Inc. and Fatwire Corporation.
The new President of ThomasNet holds an MBA in marketing and finance from New York University (NYU) Stern, and earned his undergraduate degree in music from Connecticut College.
