Press release date: March 7, 2012

Basking Ridge, NJ - March 7, 2012 - MATHESON K-Air India Private Limited [MKI] has announced the commissioning of its second Indian Helium transfill at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, approximately 70 Kms southwest of Delhi. MKI is already one of the leading suppliers of gaseous and liquid helium to customers throughout India from its existing state of the art Helium distribution facility located at Chakan, Pune.

MKI's Managing Director, Kiran Karnawat said, "With this expansion, MKI will be the first industrial gas supplier to have two Helium transfills in India. The Delhi transfill will help MKI to widen its market presence, as it will enable us to enhance our service levels by being closer to our customers."

According to Phil Kornbluth, Executive Vice President, International & Helium for MATHESON, "MATHESON supports MKI's plans to expand its Helium business in India. India is one of MATHESON's and our parent company, Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation's, key markets targeted for investment and growth, not only for the Helium business, but for our full product line of packaged, specialty and bulk liquid gases."

The new Helium facility in the Delhi area is the first transfill in India's North region and has the capability to supply liquid Helium in dewars, as well as high purity gas in high pressure cylinders and tubes. The Delhi facility will also fill other atmospheric gases such as Argon, Nitrogen and CO2 in high pressure cylinders and will supply customers for bulk liquid gases in North India.

MKI had previously announced plans to invest $100 million USD in India, including installation of a 200 TPD air separation plant in Chakan, near Pune that is scheduled to start up in 2013. Along with the Pune ASU investment, the Delhi Helium transfill is one of MKI's important initial investments.

MATHESON K-Air India is a joint venture between MATHESON, an American corporation, and K-Air India Private Limited, an Indian corporation. MKI is a supplier of packaged gases, bulk liquid atmospheric gases, Helium and packaged chemicals with an expanding footprint in Western and North India and a pan-India presence in the Helium business.

MATHESON is a single source for industrial, medical, specialty and electronic gases, gas handling equipment, high performance purification systems, engineering and gas management services, and on-site gas generation with a mission to deliver innovative solutions for global customer requirements. MATHESON is the largest subsidiary of the Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation Group, the largest Japanese supplier of industrial gases and one of the five largest suppliers of industrial, specialty, and electronics gases in the world.
