Philipsburg, Pa. - Lee Industries, Inc. recently received the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Certification. The certification was issued by HSB Registration Services in Wayne, Pa., a division of the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co. of Connecticut.
As part of the certification, Lee Industries created a new Quality Manual and implemented a Quality Management System for the manufacturing of stainless steel ball valves and stainless steel processing equipment including but not limited to kettles, tanks, blenders, and bio-reactors, excluding design and development (7.3) that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
"Lee Industries' quality program is now performing at a level that is internationally accepted and promotes continual improvement. This certification is important because it indicates that Lee Industries has systems in place to ensure our products continually meet customer requirements. Lee's management system is recognized as having processes that will ensure our products are manufactured in a consistent manner giving our customers confidence in our capabilities and peace of mind that their equipment is manufactured under the ISO 9001:2008 qualifications," explained Josh Montler, vice president of operations.
