LaCie Names New Vice President of US Sales

PORTLAND, OR (July 2007) - LaCie is proud to announce that Jim Davis has joined the company as
Vice President of US Sales. Mr. Davis will be responsible for building a diversified sales team that will
broaden specialty hard drives, storage solutions and monitors with channel partners and end users
throughout the United States.

Elst, LaCie Deputy General Manager. "With 20 years of consumer electronics and information
technology experience, Jim has proven success in areas of sales management, channel development,
and product marketing. With the external hard drive market poised for double-digit growth, we feel Jim
will be instrumental in positioning LaCie to take advantage of this growth in the US and beyond.
Most recently, Mr. Davis was Worldwide Head of Sales for Planar Systems' Home Theater Business
Unit, where he was responsible for building channels of distribution to more than 40 counties around
the world. Prior to Planer Systems, he served as Worldwide Senior Director, US Commercial Sales for
InFocus Corporation and various management positions within Sony Electronics Inc.
Mr. Davis holds a BS in mass communications from Towson State University, and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University.
