LANXESS Presents Proven Technology at Unified Wine & Grape Symposium
LANXESS Corporation is showcasing its VELCORIN® (dimethyl dicarbonate) microbial control agent technology and introducing the new product team beginning today at the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium.
In booth 601, the Material Protection Products business unit of LANXESS will join Scott Laboratories to highlight VELCORIN microbial control agent - Technology for the real taste. As a distributor of VELCORIN microbial control agent within the wine industry, Scott Laboratories has over nineteen years of experience in successfully implementing this proven microbial control agent. VELCORIN microbial control agent is highly effective in inactivating typical beverage-spoiling germs without affecting the flavor, odor or color of the beverage and has been approved for use in a wide range of wines in the United States, Europe and other countries.
With a state-of-the-art dosing unit, LANXESS offers flexible solutions to mobile bottlers and wine manufacturers of every size. LANXESS recently established production of VELCORIN microbial control agent in Dormagen, Germany. Previously the product had only been manufactured at the company's Uerdingen, Germany site. "This was an important investment that addresses the increasing international demand for our technology," explained Riaz Musaheb, Beverage Technologies Regional Manager for the United States and Canada. "It also helps to safeguard our ability to deliver product when and where it is needed."
To further meet the growing demands of the business, LANXESS has expanded its U.S. dedicated VELCORIN microbial control agent team. Musaheb is joined by Julie Blackwell, Technical Sales Representative, and Tracey Plumb, Marketing and Sales Representative. The business is also supported by a service agent, Electrotec, in the United States and Mexico.
"With increased production flexibility and the new dedicated team, we're better able to meet the growing sales and service needs of our North American customers," said Musaheb.
